I believe VRC is deploying its manpower in the wrong place.
We have had a very low number of participants in the races for some time now. When there are more participants, it is because the event is taking place on a free track. Providing more tracks or classes free of charge is not an option.
Yes, it is summer in the northern hemisphere, but the number of participants per race was not much better during the last two winters.
I would prefer to see fewer races per week, and we should also consider whether it still makes sense to offer the three classes ‘Club’, “Sport” and ‘Pro’ or whether it would be better to have only one class.
Many who use VRC Pro have a real RC car background, and racing classes with many participants have always attracted more additional participants. It's just much more interesting to compete with many drivers than always with the same 10 people.
Rally was only popular for a short time, the same with the Stadium ‘Monster’ Trucks, and I think it will be the same with the GT3 Club Racer category next season.
Numerous XTR tracks (LT 1, MT1, ST1, etc.) have been released, all of which are ‘fantasy’ tracks that do not exist in real life, and when I look at the track statistics, they are not particularly popular, except when a race is taking place on them.
VRC stands for ‘Virtual RC’, so VRC should also try to stay as close to reality (real RC cars and tracks) as possible.
There are already plenty of other racing games of various kinds, and to be honest, the latest racing games on PC, Xbox or PlayStation are simply in a league of their own!
In VRC, we have enough races, enough classes, enough parts and tyres to change. Due to the well-known situation with the original VRC developers, further development in many areas is unfortunately not possible.
I don't know exactly how much effort is involved in creating new tracks, but I would have always liked it if VRC had offered the current world championship tracks from 1:8 on-road, 1:10 on-road and 1:8 off-road.
Whether new tracks will save the game is difficult to say, but new bodywork that does not exist in real RC racing will certainly be of little help.
Some may see this as missing the point, but a new body shape will not make the game more attractive and, if anything, will only bring in a few more users in the short term.
