Special R2tW Lite license

VRC Pro has introduced a new license specially for the occasion of the Race 2 the Worlds
event: the R2tW Lite license.

The Lite license gives you 1 full year racing at a very low price. You have access to a
basic set of public tracks with spec level cars and components of all the
brands (in each category) plus the special R2tW car and the Heemstede 2012
track where the R2tW contest will be raced on. Additional cars, components and
tracks can be purchased if you want. These purchases are made with v€ (virtual
cash), which cannot be earned by Lite members and need to be purchased in the
eshop. Lite members cannot build a loyalty discount (up to 30%) and do not have
the default 20% full member content discount.

The Lite license is perfect if you want a full year of racing and pay only for extra
cars, components and tracks. You can upgrade to a full membership at any time,
which is ideal if you are using VRC Pro regularly and want new cars, parts or
tracks on a regular basis. It is simply a lot cheaper to spend 8 Euros per
month, earn vEuros and get new Tracks and Cars on a monthly basis for free
and/or at serious discounts.

Upon upgrading to full membership Lite members will keep all their purchased tracks,
cars and components.

Only new member registrations and trial members can purchase the R2tW Lite license. Get
it now and keep racing!

This is an old news before Free 2 Play model was introduced. We no longer offer this kind of subscription - in F2P you do not need subscription to play.

hi guys.

i am wanting to buy the lite version and i do not see it in the shop... anyone know where it is?
16.12.2012 [19:30]
I have a month to month full membership but its too expensive. I will stay if I can buy a lite membership but I cant find that option in the eshop. Is it not possible for me to buy a lite membership? If so I will buy it, if not I will have to say goodbye....

Any Ideas of how to buy the lite membership?

Thanks

when will the full members have the option to buy the lite subscription? i dont mind loosing all my stuff as i have already bought veuros using cash so i wouldnt mind spending that on the offroad stuff when it comes out as i dont plan on racing the onroad anymore. i love the software just too expensive for me to justify but the lite membership is perfect! any ideas as when this will happen? thanks

Secondly, the R2tW lite membership application steps seems hard to find from the normal subscription product's page.

In principle, Lite members, Trial members and Full members can all race together, but they need to have the same tracks and the same cars. Lite members can obtain new tracks and new cars by purchasing vEuros in the e-shop and spending them in the game or on the web on new content.

Secondly, the R2tW lite membership application is easy. You simply follow the normal registration procedure after selecting the Lite license subscription. If you already have a trial license, then you can purchase the R2tW lite license from the e-shop.

I hope this clarifies

I would love to ask my son to join the R2tW LITE, so hopefully I can create a session to race with him anytime. However, todate, I am uncertain if it is possible for a full member to create race session to race with a Lite member, especial for when using tracks that is not accessible by lite members. And if I cannot, it would be too boring for me to race in a simple/standard track with my son. VRCPro support seems unclear on the answer. So I will only join until after a confirmation is found.

Secondly, the R2tW lite membership application steps seems hard to find from the normal subscription product's page. It seem it is only available from the news page. Slightly confusing for when people try to apply. Hopefully the procedure/steps for Lite membership application is made simpler.

I was a bit disappointed at first as I thought only spec chassis was available but then noticed the lipo intercept chassis which allows suspension changes etc and a 5.5 motor.

+1

I hope after the r2tw event finishes that something else occurs, I wouldn't mind loosing the heemstede track for another events track, as I find the multiplayer very sporadic.
Well done for making this lite membership available and making the simulation more accessible to everyone.

We need to balance the Lite license out against the full membership, I'm sure you understand.

The Lite license is a very low priced year subscription introduced specially for occasional users who want some fun out of the basic set of cars and tracks and who actually don't need to pay anything extra. Lite members only pay extra for extra individual items they want to use (instead of paying monthly).

With these kind of efforts we are trying to make VRC Pro interesting and affordable for as many people as possible, but in the end VRC Pro is a high-end simulator, not a game. As such it should be valued and appreciated. Bottom line, if you think VRC Pro is too expensive then don't buy it.

We are convinced it's worth well over what we actually ask for it.

Posted by: Alex Raymond (GB) on 20.4.2012 19:01:33 (UTC) so have i read this correct if we are a full member and have say a few different chassis non spec and ugraded motors these will be lost if you go for a lite member ship ?

Not if those were purchased with real money instead of earned vEuros.

Earned vEuros would be a big threat to our business model, I'm sure you'll understand that every full member will stop renewing their full membership if we don't balance the Lite license out correctly...
