News item modified Sept. 17th.
We have arranged a Weekly Series for the new 1:10 electric onroad 17.5T Club class. This Series has its own ranking, the best 8 results of your last 12 events count for this ranking. As all other rankings, this is an on-going ranking.
The 17.5T Club class uses the same chassis as the Spec class, but as it has different class definitions we will release them as new 1:10 Club chassis on which only the 17.5T motor can be used. There will be Club chassis from Intercept, Kyosho, Tamiya, Xray, HB and Associated.
On Monday Sept. 23 we will do an update and on Tuesday the new 17.5T Club class will be available to all. The previous default setups will no longer work and will be replaced by new ones.
Enjoy the new 17.5T Club class!

too many issues with this new class, members either don't understand that they need to use the 17.5T motor, or they don't want to and think they will get away with it. It is therefore 'raining' with protest.
I have taken another look at this class and have found a work-around to create it as a class of its own: 1:10 electric on-road 17.5T Club
For this to work I had to redefine the current spec class chassis and motor components, and create new ones for this new class.
We will publish the modified and new components and the new class structure next Monday as we can't do this immediately as the Weekly events are ongoing. The next weekly will therefore not start on Saturday but the Tuesday thereafter. All the other scheduled 17.5T Weekly's will be redefined for the new class so it should work OK from next week Tuesday onwards.
I hope this will settle all the disputes and discussions around this new class.
Brilliant, thank you Pieter!

I was also a little surprised that it was at carpet 2, also not sure about them being 8 minutes long...
Because Carpet 2 is free.

I understand that there would be too many changes required to the system to introduce a new class for these motors, but perhaps there is a way to have an additional warning when starting the race? When someone goes to start their run, perhaps a message could pop up asking them to ensure they're using the correct motor? I have no idea if this is possible or not, just an idea

People will get sick of racing when other can’t play by the rules ( first round & there is a lot of 13.5 users already )
The track choice could be better too !
Why use the same track as the weekly 13.5 races ?
