We have created 2 test events, one for 1:10 electric touringcars 13.5T at Carpet 2, and one for short course trucks 13.5T at MHS 1. These events are open to all, also free-2-play members can participate.
The purpose of these 2 events is to test the new bump-up round system which we plan to use for the upcoming VRC Worlds events.
The bump-up system is different from the current system.
After qualifying the top 1...4 will go directly to the Super Final, they don't participate in the semi finals.
There will be 2, 3 or 4 bump-up semi finals, from which the numbers 1-2-3 (depending on how many direct qualifyers and how many semi finals) will go to the Super Final. There will be just 1 Super Final in the last round.
For example:
Direct qualifyers: 1
3 semi finals:
4-7-10-13-16-19-22-25-28-31
5-8-11-14-17-20-23-26-29-32
6-9-12-15-18-21-24-27-30-33
Numbers 1-2-3 from each semi final will go to Super Final with 10 drivers.
We have one test event using racer classes Club, Sport and Pro, the other test event uses no racer classes.
These 2 test events do not count for any ranking or series championship.
You are invited to participate, we need many racers for these 2 test events in order to do a good evaluation of the whole system including the points for the overall results.

It seems to be that the bump up system is dead now or am I wrong with my impression?
Cheers

The first WC event using the bump-up system will be the 1:10 nitro sedans open class, starting this Saturday.
We have spent quite a bit of time to implement it and to iron out all the flaws, that doesn't mean that if racers don't like it we will force it on anyway. On the other hand, we must also give it a chance to be fully understood and appreciated.
I can play with the variables like how many to go directly from qualifying to the Super final, how many semi finals etc.
So let's see how this goes and judge later.

Hi Pieter,
not running in the Finals shouldn't be rewarded.
I'm sure that you can fix all these problems and I only want to help you.

The last result of the bump up test look quite weird.
Final 2 and Final 3 all participants with DNS!!! That's very motivating for the ones which raced and are behind in Final 4 etc.
I had 13 laps in qualifying and now the guys with 12 laps in qualifying and DNS in the other runs are in front of me!!!
Is this as it is supposed to be?
I'll avoid to take part in such a system.

it is still not the way it should be, still working on it. Need to study the result in more detail.
This was a test event so not surprising that only a few took the time to actually do a run in round 3. The end result is sorted by the results per main final, so that is the same as what we have now with the normal system.

Just a question, in the case of 4 bump-up semi final, at one point not only the rank will count to get in the Super Final but the faster time too or not?
Is there a error in the text "1...4 will go directly to the Super Final" because the 4th is in the semi final too!?!
When they are 4 direct qualified for the Super Final only 6 places are left from the 3 semi finals that means only the Top 2 of each semi final will go to the Super Final.
1...4 means we can select 1, 2, 3 or 4 to go directly to the Super Final. Only 1,2,3 or 4 from semi finals go to Super final, no fastest remaining drivers. We will always fill the Super Final with equal places from the semi finals.
