LIFETIME SALES STOP PER JAN. 1ST 2019

19.11.2018   Category: Site news

TO ALL MEMBERS

The sales of the popular Lifetime All-Inclusive subscription in the VRC e-shop will be stopped on January 1st 2019.

The reason for this decision is that VRC Pro needs a more continuous stream of revenues in order to keep its servers and services up and running for years to come. We have come to the conclusion that the Lifetime All-Inclusive subscription is no longer serving that purpose. Of course current Lifetime members will continue to enjoy the privilege of unlimited access to more than 90 tracks and 12 on- and offroad classes, for 'the lifetime' of VRC.

Starting January 1st of 2019, members will only be offered 1, 3, 6 and 12 months all-inclusive subscriptions (with recurring payments) to get access to all game content. The prices of these subscriptions will be reduced to a significant lower level, prices to be announced before the end of the year.

Our focus for 2019 and beyond is to give you the best virtual r/c racing experience possible with the existing software, content, and racing services. Over 90 tracks and 12 on- and off-road classes, the feature rich VRC software and the vast amount of events for all classes should keep everyone interested and involved in VRC Pro for a long time, especially given that most racers get to race on just a few tracks in their whole life!

We hope you understand our decision, which is in the interest of all current and future VRC members. We count on your continued support for our unique virtual r/c racing platform.

As noted above by Simon, I am also willing to pay 10 USD per year to have my own paint scheme. But I would definitely be against any "pay and win" options, because that would defeat the simulator's purpose (I believe)

In addition, maybe letting others contribute to the database? Since technology has advanced rapidly, many cars/classes need some update. Letting the racing community help probably would be a good idea.

I have a lifetime all inclusive membership and think it is a great idea to also give us an opportunity to contribute with a monthly fee. I think many of us are pasionate racers really appreciating this great service and want it the best. Personally I think VRC Pro is a great tool and in addition to being such great fun it probably deserves most of the credit for my progression as a rc car racer! So thumbs up from me! 😊

Posted by: Michael Dekker (US) on 24.11.2018 16:21:00 (UTC) I have a current lifetime membership. I'd be willing to pay monthly to keep the project moving forward. It really shows when I go to the track, all the online practice.

Good to hear, just spread the word to your racing buddies on the club!

Posted by: Stephane Doucet (CA) on 19.11.2018 23:36:07 (UTC) I hope this change could help add of more classes. VRC would need to have 1/8 truggy (nitro and electric) as well as 1/10 buggy, both 2wd and 4wd, these would benefit all racers and follow the industry!

Not this again...as soon the revenues are low and nothing HUGE things happend in incomes, there will not be any these classes.
Whole community should allready understand that sharing videos and giving positive puplicity for VRC is one thing what every community member should do...not just only wait and watch when some new classes are developed. So, simple thing, do share those VRC vids and be positive. At least like this we have tried.
