STEAM POWERED RACE SERIES, RC EXITEMENT 1

Race of Steam Powered series, Short Course 4wd class was held in here, RC Exitement 1 track.
This track is very technical to offroader, and its not any high speed race, when winner is solved at this track. Of course, speed must be there at the top, but mainly you`ve to beware to use shortest line in here.

QUALIFYING

As the qualifying was over, Swedish offroad talent Robert Hillman was at the top and took TQ with huge one lap distance to Austrian Thomas Rössler. Roberts fastest lap was 15.849 with an average 16.390. Instead Rössler`s fastest 16.219 and his average was 17.009. Italian Erik Bottosso got third spot for theb Final and his pace showed, that he was one second slower in average than our TQ.
After these results we could expect that it was going to be very easy win for Swedish driver, but he needed that run without mistakes. ... read more

Race Report by Larry Blair (VRC Pro Race Reporter)

The pro short course series kicked off at R/C Excitement 1 and with a heavy field posted for our first race these drivers did not disappoint the fans. 1st and 2nd place finished with 28 laps while 2nd place through 6th would finish with 26 laps. All of these drivers in the A main put on a fantastic show.

Martin Wollanka brought his skills to the drivers stand and by lap 7 he was already encountering traffic. He was able to maximize his speed out of every corner and showed how throttle control is so important to hitting these super fast lap times. When it was all said and done he ended up 1st on the podium posting 28 laps with a fast lap of 14.6 and a race average of 15.0 and a top speed of 50.1 km/h / 31.1 mph.

Robert Hillman would put up a great challenge for the lead early on and made a very consistent run throughout the race ... read more
