VRC presents: CRF Lausanne in Switzerland.
VRC brings this once popular indoor carpet r/c track to life again and you can now enjoy this 'forgotten' track in VRC Pro. The track will be used mainly for 1:10 and 1:12 scale electric indoor racing.
The tracks has been scaled up slightly to accommodate the much faster electric cars compared to 2004 when VRC visited this track to collect measurements and other reference material to recreate this track. Check out the 320x240 video from back in 2004(download and watch...).
For sure this new indoor track will be popular with many die-hard electric on-road racers!

2017 SEASON 1 1:8 SPORTCARS ROUND 2 Fort Myers
This serie started the season from Boss Speed circuit where French Kevin Rasguin took the win with 5 second margin ahead American Joshua Berman. Third podium was driven by another American Kevin Bacon, who was also 5 seconds behind Berman when race finished.
Fort Myers was hosting this second round race.
American double Worldchampion Joshua Berman was on his own level and was the fastest in every round and after a really impressive run, he won the final two laps ahead of the next. Just very convincing by Joshua!
Second in this 20 minutes final was Irish Austin Elliot. He was only two 10th`s slower in average than the race winner Berman, but these long finals gathers difference so hugely.
Kevin Bacon was one 10th slower in average than Elliot and had to settle for third place. Kevin made few mistakes during his run, and these solved second place for Elliot.

VRC Pro can be played by everyone as a Free2Play game for unlimited time, with all spec chassis and some 8 public tracks and race in most of the weekly events. It seems however that although many try it out, few actually take the next step of purchasing an All-inclusive license (which start at 24.95 for a 3-months period) or a vEuro credit pack to purchase individual tracks, cars or components.
When new members purchase a VRC USB adaptor they gets 30 days FREE All-Inclusive access to ALL tracks and ALL cars and components so they have a 30 day period to try out everything and even compete in all events during that period. At the end of that 30 day period they fall back to Free2Play. I am wondering if this strategy actually works for VRC. Wouldn't that be enough time to decide if you want to continue with VRC Pro with a proper subscription?
An alternative could be to limit the number of free cars and/or tracks in the Free2Play package so new members can quickly try out if VRC will actually work OK on t... read more

2017 SEASON 1 1:8 NITRO NASCARTRUCKS ROUND 1 KEITUNE OVAL
American triple Worldchampion Jimmy Flack has won opening round of 1:8 nitro nascartrucks serie. From first round of this event, he was showing great pace once again. In 5 minutes qualifying his average was 7.2 sharp and in 10 minutes final 7.213. With this enormous consistency he left second place driver, almost two laps behind. Some driving from Jimmy, congratulations.
Raistrick, Dumusc and Inkeri solved last podium places. In this fight Raistrick was strongest but didnt get this easy. His average dropped half 10th`s from semifinal and this gave some chances to Dumusc and Inkeri. But Graham defenced this very nicely and crossed the line with 5.8 distance to Dumusc, who came to third place.
Inkeri who got fourth place, fighted very strong final against Dumusc. After ten minutes, Inkeri had to surrender with 1.3 seconds behind Dumusc. He had ... read more

2017 SEASON 1 1:10 SC TRUCKS 13.5T ROUND 2 Mikes Hobby Shop 3
Second round of SC 13.5 serie was driven here at Mikes Hobby Shop 3 track. At semifinal Austrian talent Martin Wollanka was 3 seconds faster than Italian Erik Bottosso. Third and fourth place went to Swedish Robert Hillman and Britains Reece Hodges.
Main final was started without TQ driver Wollanka, so Bottosso, Hillman and Hodges were favourites to take this one. But when final started, in early stage we could noticed that Bottosso was on his own. His pace was good enough to let others behind and with his consistency, he crossed the line 5 seconds before Hillman. Hillman instead, had to do full job to keep Hodges behind.
In early stage Hodges was stronger, but Hillman was stronger in last ten laps and this secured his second place in here. Hodges have to surrender with 0.8 second margin to Hillman.
Fourth place battle was also very intence,... read more

Finnish Markku Honkanen has won the 60 minute long A-Main final of the 2016 VRC Worlds for 1:8 nitro buggies at RC Tracks of Las Vegas. It was a hard fought win over Warren Jones from the US who had to settle for 2nd after several challenges for the lead but Honkanen was the more consitent driver on the finish line. James Le Pavoux from the UK finished 3rd over a lap down from the 2 front runners to complete the 2016 Worlds podium. Worth noting: Honkanen pitted 4 times, Jones 5 times, a good pit strategy does pay off...
The demanding RC Tracks of Las Vegas surely took its toll with all the bumps and holes that were present on the virtual Las Vegas track just like they were during the real IFMAR Worlds in October 2016. David Ronnefalk who was earlier crowned VRC World Champion 1:8 electric buggies on the same track was the big absentee in this main final. Although qualifying 4th he wasn't able to make the finals due to retuning ill from an oversees promotion trip just before Christmas. With his 60 mi... read more
