At the release of the new C7 GT3 body we have announced to start a competition to create your own paintjob for this new body. I have created a new forum topic where you can post screenshots of the finished body.
To create your own paintjob you will need Photoshop and some experience using it. We are not going to start a tutorial here how to use paintjob. The template is available from: https://www.vrcworld.com/static/C7_Photoshop_template.psd
I suggest you create a copy of this file so you always have the original to turn back to.
Once you have created your paintjob you must save your design as a 2048x2048 pixel jpg called 'corvette template.jpg'
You can view your design with the free Autodesk 3D viewer (browser based) which can be downloaded from https://viewer.autodesk.com/.
You must create an account in order to use this viewer. The 'alpha' (used for holes and wheel arches) and the opacity (windscreens) aren't perfect, you should ignore that and not try to improve that. ... read more

We have released a brand new body for the GT3 class: C7.
This is our 2nd body for this exciting class to offer some more choice in bodies. The body comes in 8 different color schemes. The aerodynamic properties of this body are identical to the 911 body, so the performance is not affected by your choise of body. We look forward to see a colorful field of 911's and C7's in the upcoming 2018 VRC Worlds.
PAINTJOB DESIGN COMPETITION
As an experiment we will let you create your own paintjobs. No, we don't have a paintjob creator feature now, unfortunately our game structure, dating back to 2005, was never intended for members to create their own designs. We will make available the template and the 3D model which are created by our 3D graphics artis Tony West to let you create your own design, and view it in a 3D viewer. We will set up some sort of competition where you can enter your designs and we will then implement the design ourselves and release it, There is no other way of doing this, unfortun... read more

The 2018 VRC WORDS are integrated in the Season 1 Series events. These events are awarded with extra points for the Series, Spec Worlds will get Level 3 points, and Modified class Worlds are Level 5 events! So besides the World Chamionship titles there are a lot of extra points to be earned for the Season 1 Series.
This new format for the VRC Worlds will be evaluated after Season 1. The plan is to focus the VRC Worlds events for Season 2 in the last 6 weeks of the year like we have done in the past.
Already 2 VRC Worlds have been held this year, the 2018 VRC Worlds Rally-X Modified class won by multiple VRC champion Martin Wollanka from Austria, and 1:10 Nitro Sedans Spec class, won by another VRC champ Joshua Berman from the USA. Currently we are running 1:10 electric Touringscars Modified class at Kissimmee Short in Florida.
The other 2018 VRC Worlds events this season are:
2018 VRC WORLDS 1:8 NITRO BUGGIES (RND 5) at Psycho... read more
