Hey guys,
I know that Pieter gets a LOT of questions about running VRC Pro on the Mac. Well, Apple just released a new SOC ARM based Mac Air and Pro. I am happy to report that it runs absolutely fantastic on the lowest cost MacBook Air. I am getting over 300fps (around 325) with it set to 1680x987, antialiasing at 4X, filtering off, shadows off, render and texture both at HIGH, v-sync off (I don't know what that does!), and smoke and dust off.
I wasn't able to get it running yet with Crossover but still hope to. I had problems installing the net3.5 software VRC Pro requires. Perhaps I can still get that going at it may be the cleanest solution. However, right now you can get the first ARM build of Parallels for M1 ARM Macs for FREE and Windows 10 ARM for FREE as well. Install those and it just works like on a Windows machine. I had no problem using the OEM VRC orange adapter - the same one that I've had for a long time now.
So, if anyone has a question, I may or may not be able to answer it, but I got it running with a minimum of fuss - I'd even say it was beginner level easy to do.
For questions, contact me on the iMac forum.

Yes, since bootcamp cannot be run on the new M1 macs, there is a test version of parallels that can be used with the special test version of ARM Win 10. Both are free for now and this dosen't apply to the old Intel Macs. For me, the base MBA - yes the air - runs at about 4 times the fps as on my old Intel Macbook Pro using bootcamp. So if Charlie Locke up there is getting 60fps or so, I'm getting over 300fps.

I run it through paralells on a mbp 2019 13". Runs okay, could be better.

Hello,
You are using VRC through parallels, right?
