I don't think this is explained anywhere. In any case, I had to figure it out myself.
It's not hard but I thought I'd share how in case anyone else was wondering.

Let's say you want to embed this youtube video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uZoj9HFu4dw

You need to put "youtube" inside square brackets followed by the video ID, i.e. "uZoj9HFu4dw" in this case, followed by "/youtube" inside square brackets.

Like this:
(youtube)uZoj9HFu4dw(/youtube)
but change the ordinary brackets to square brackets []

Here's the result:
