Modified speed vs Spec speed, sometimes too much of a good thing... added: 31.01.2017

This isn't about car setup as much a pure speed/power differential between spec and mod motors.

Use a spec car if mod is too fast.

At Mod races, my first qualifying run at a new track or race has been with spec cars. It usually takes me several runs with a mod car to match that first spec qualifying time.

If using mod turn down the exp and epa until its slow again, you'll go faster.

Then, when you get used to it, add a few extra % back to gain speed but keep the smoothness you had before.

So right...
Best thing is certainly to set your Mod car like the Spec car, then change bit by bit like you said.

And when you don't have a lot of time to run, better sitck with the Spec car sometimes, it's exactly what happened to me Round6 race :

I was faster with the Spec car and it would have need too much time to improve that with the Mod car.

Totally agree ! After play VRC, I finally understand "Slow is fast".

At the 1st time I found Spec car lap time was faster then Mod car, it made me understand what is my main problem and finally (I think) the correct path to improve my skill.
