Thanks for the setup, having never raced on indoor carpet (proper). Does vrc pro feel like real carpet?

In real life it is, but there's no power difference in vrc between the free and the branded batteries. The branded ones only hold more mAh.

ok! i am a trial member so thanks for letting me now that !

Speed Power LiPo 7.4V 5300 45C
can give 7.4*5.3*45=1765W

Reedy 5500 7.4V 60C LiPo
can give 7.4*5.5*60=2442W

LRP LiPo 7.4V 5900 50C
can give 7.4*5.9*50=2183W

LRP Vector X12 Brushless motor 4.5T - 565W - kv 7.900

The weaker battery can give 3 times the max power of a motor. The stronger 4 times.
The motor cant run over his power, because it will overheat.

Then ESC is more important.

yes, longer runtime, but no advantage in laptimes ;-)

If you push the throttle really hard through the corners you don't win a lot of time (if any at all) and the motor gets really hot.
16.08.2011 [23:07]
I guess that´s because your engine overheats. If the motor temperature gets higher than 100°C, the car shuts down and won´t move until the temperature drops below 60°C again. So you have to shorten the gearing then.
It´s different for everyone, I can use gearing of 1:7.01 without any problems. It depends on the personal style of driving and what your throttle-finger is doing. ;-)

Oh! thank you so much for the response :D i was really scared about those 9 seconds laps , other question my car seems to shutdown when i use a lower ratio then 7.30 is this normal? thank you :D

15.08.2011 [18:23]
9 seconds laps are impossible now! That was only possible for a short time at the start of the betatest when there was a much higher griplevel. The results will be removed before the launch of VRC Pro.
At the moment the best laps I can get are 10.4s, consistently 10.7s. ;-)

Hi Tobias can you tell me your faster lap with this setup? i cant beleive people do 9 seconds laps :O
04.07.2011 [21:19]
The laptimes don´t get faster, if you mean that...

As can be improved by putting a more powerful battery?
