Ok, this is explained in the editor when you post a message. But maybe you didn't realize it's possible to embed images anywhere on the website (e.g. even in your profile description)!!
Embedding is helpful in posts too because an "attachment" only allows you to have at most one image, whereas embedding allows you to have as many as you want, in whatever position you want in the text (instead of just at the bottom).
Also, you can embed not just external images as it suggests, but also internal images from the website. You just need the image url. These can be your own images or any image from anywhere on the site (or external site).
Instructions:
1. Optional: Upload your image to your profile in "photos". (You can make locked albums that are restricted to only your friends or club members if you want).
2. Find the image you want in the web browser.
3. Right click the image and choose "inspect" or similar.
4. Right click the link and choose "copy link address" or similar.
5. Put this code where you want the image to appear anywhere on VRC world: (img) <url> (/img) ... but change normal brackets () to square brackets [], and leave out the angle brackets <>.
Examples:
VRC support icon : (img)http://www.vrcworld.com/images/buttons/top_help.png(/img) (don't forget to change to square brackets)
My profile image: (img)http://www.vrcworld.com/getimage.ashx?125769411,68,68,1(/img)
