Now got an Adam Mackman Arduino USB, giving me 120 FPS at the controller, even on my 1989 Futaba FF3, which gives at least 1/10th improvement per lap compared to orange USB, expecting more when I get my Sanwa ZZ.
First raced 1/12th electric 1978, my Mardave v Lectricar and Tamiya of the day. 1981 Schumacher / Associated still on silicone stipple and 1/12 Tamiya off-road XR311 British champion! (True, that the top drivers did Rough Riders and Sand Scorchers in those days, and Jamie Booth was doing Holiday Buggies.) Once out of college and in work: 1989 1/10th I/C off-road, 'Nitro 10', eventually won a Schumacher Final (£100 prize money!) Winter practice with 1/12 Associated RC12LW. 1/10th I/C (Serpent) 1993 to 1998. Then a gap to 2015, now VRC Pro and now bought a GT12 'Atom'. Would like to do R/C bikes and drifting and convert my 1967 Mamod TE1A for steam R/C racing! |
