They were free for the period of the event as it matches in with the real one. This has happened the same way in the past for other major events

Corner cuts are different in iracing aren't they, i.e. not jumps. But I totally agree, VRC should consider good ideas from there & other places. Also, bring out eBuggy already, yeah :)

iracing.com now employs a yield timer for corner cuts, it varies in length from 1.0 sec to 3.0 sec depending on severity of cut and the particular corner. apparently it determines severity by first learning the average of the top 5 laps of the session across multiple drivers or your first lap if on ur own or a preset penalty if on out lap. this forces drivers to redress the infraction, otherwise get a stop and go black flag if ignore yield timer. maybe vrc could do similar. in fact maybe vrc should check out many of the things iracing does, and consider vrc adaptations. iracing may be different, but in many ways it should be similar to make vrc better.

is there any reading on why 1/8th ep buggy has not already done? it doesnt mean much to me, i run nitro, but ep buggy is huge and im literally blown away its not already done let alone a priority, seems like its a bit of disconnect between marketing/dev/prospective customer/user/reality

We would also have to develop a whole new breed of 1:10 electirc buggy tracks which is also very costly. Maybe I should turn it into a Kickstarter project and try to raise 200K or 300K before starting it. So you can put your money where your mouth is... I can't continue to pay this from my own pocket.
Maybe a kickstarter isn't a bad idea, seems a lot of people want this. I'd definitely support it!
As for tracks, I don't think most people would mind using the existing off-road tracks for now, even if they aren't all necessarily designed for 1:10 scale. I believe the 1:10 SCTs already use them anyway in-game, so expanding availability to 1:10 buggies doesn't seem like much of a stretch.

Would support it too, but peter said something about 200-300K! With the active part of the community this will be hard to achieve I believe, unless those who are willing to pledge more then $100 and then it still would take 3000 people to do that.
Like the idea too, but I think it will be hard.
Full support

Check the Video on neobuggy.net and you will see that nobody try to jump over the yellow pylon.b]
Yes, you're right. Ty gets very close though. Any closer and he'd hit it b/c he's jumping low to be fast. Same on the other one.
I think the point is more about the sensitivity being too high and the penalty too harsh for a very slight misjudgement that nobody would notice or care about otherwise. Marshaled waaaaaay back and lose 6 seconds for flying barely over the pipe? The one on the left side of the track is the worst.
I've seen it happen to tons of people in multiplayer. It just totally ruins the experience.
I'm with Javan that if you take off and land on track & it's just one corner it should be allowed... but let's leave that argument for another time. All we're asking for here is to relax the sensitivity slightly, as right now it feels like a stupid bug. It's like "what just happened?"
