The 2023 racing calendar will be rearranged as follows:
- the on-road and off-road Worlds Spec classes will be held from June 7th till July 3rd
- the on-road and off-road Worlds Modified classes will be held from November 22nd till Dec. 18th.
- the Dirt Oval Worlds will be held from November 15th till Dec. 11th.
- the Oval Worlds will be held from Nov. 8th till Dec. 4th.
All Worlds events will start on Wednesday.
Season 2 on-road and off-road series will be 6 races in stead of 7.
The on-road Oval Series will be 11 races in stead of 12.
This should open up the calendar around Christmas time and make the official Worlds for modified classes more attractive to compete in. We will schedule some other interesting 'stand-alone' races in the 2nd half of December to close out 2023.
Have a great 2023 racing season!

Great change fromm my point of view.
There were too many races in parallel as many drivers are interesing in running more than one WC also in classes they normally not run.
The finals this year were really in Crismas time, not so good.
I would also not use the bump up system, but I would run 3 events not only 2, Qualy, Semi and Final and at least in Nitro I like the long runs.

I think it would worth a try for all events incl. VRC WC to go to:
Electric: Qualy 5 min / Final 10 min
Nitro: Qualy 5 min / Final 15 min
I would also suggest forgetting the bump-up mode, it's not possible like in real RC when everyone is at the same time around the track!
Just go back to Qualy by lap and overtime.
And just Qualy (4 days) and Final (3 days) so that every event is done in 7 days and super easy to understand for everyone.
KEEP IT SIMPLE, KEEP IT FUN!
This is Perfect!!

Dates from 11/20 - 12/31 have proven to be so bad in many major real life race tours they avoid the date range all together. Nascar, F1, Motocross/Supercross have all had lessons learned which is this time frame are the holidays, not race days or event days
Spend time wisely focusing on the Format creating "fun" "organized" world events.
If worlds event is Run with the same format on any date the interest level will be worse than it just was.
2022 Worlds was a Shit-Show

I have to agree with Philippe about the bump-up. BTW: Would it be possible to use a best-two runs format in VRC? Just like real RC racing.

Great idea Pieter. I ran the GT3 Worlds and the finals were 12/23, 12/24 and 12/25. I would imagine many drivers were celebrating Christmas and/or Christmas Eve with family and didn't have time to run finals. I know I didn't have time to run, we had family events each day.

That seems a better plan there was too many races around the worlds, made it difficult to choose what to race, and try to fit it in over christmas.
