Dear VRC member,
I have learned a lesson for sure. This is the first time I experienced how social media can very quickly be mobilized and turned against you. There were many negative comments, but also many in support of VRC for which I thank you.
The other lesson I learned is that apparently there are many VRC members who still value our platform so such, to an extend that they would really be frustrated to see their long time pending Lifetime All-Inclusive subscription taken away from them. I take that as a positive!
This weekend I have seriously reconsidered my earlier decision and have decided to drop the idea of ending or freezing the Lifetime subscription all together. I hope that this will end this discussion.
My apologies to those members who felt really offended by my earlier announcement. I can only hope that many of you are now encouraged to pick up your transmitter and turn on VRC Pro again, and to actively use our platform in the future.
I have received many emails and comment responses, I cannot reply to each of them individually (also because my sister passed away on Sunday afternoon). I take it that you can accept that this announcement will answer all your questions. I am open for suggestions to improve VRC, but the possibilities are seriously limited.

I am confused then as to why I dont have access to previous tracks that I did when my lifetime license was active. Can you please inform me on how I can get this resolved.
You have a valid Steam VRC Lifetime so no worries.
I assume you launch VRC from the Steam platform? Click on 'Full check' when the updater is started to make sure all content is downloaded.
Sorry about that. Tracks do show up in the game itself but show as a cross when logged into the website which is odd.

Thanks for your decision Peter - nevertheless i followed the conversation on social media. I am in the gaming / esport industry by myself and it is clear that a lot of budget is needed if you rework vrc - nevertheless, dont underestimate social media but also dont underestimate crowd funding - have you ever consideres setting up a campaign with a funding goal of 500k - should be a good starting point and is not totally unreachable imho. (5k in social media group - more here. Not even 100 € / Person ) The only thing which can rescue VRC on the long run is a refactoring of the software. But it is not so complex compared to other games so a rebuild in unreal / unity is not unreachable .
Could you please reconsider this and tell us if you ever thought about that seriously? I am sure we can also help finding coders etc. - but would definately need you as a consultant / producer.

Sorry for your loss. Spend the needed time with your family. I am a lifetime member who was not happy about the proposed decision. One thing that could possibly work, as I’d like to see the game developed further is figure out how much adding a class/track costs on average and start a donation thing on here to get to that money goal to make it happen. For example if you put on here that you needed $5000.00 to add 2wd 1/10 buggys to the platform and a way to donate directly to that cause, I personally would donate money directly to that to see it come to fruition. Obviously I don’t know how much money each class would cost to develop or cost per track, but I can’t be the only one that would be willing to donate money if we knew exactly what it’s going to to further the game. Just my opinion.
you are easily a factor 10-15 off... There is a total misunderstanding of the complexity and work involved in something like this...
