Hey Guys!
Havent been around a long but its nice to visit here now and then. My health issues havent cooled, and few years ago finally doc said that it even wont get better but maybe easier. At this point it just means heavy medicine, and you can imagine why im not with you. As i know rc racing needs good reactions, good eye etc, its clear that my feelings went totally down as i had to make decisions between my hobbies and my daily rhytm. Its now heavy meds and it would be totally nonsense to even drive VRC in that level what i want.
But hey, about this discussion where from to drive or how. Ive allways thoughted that this is simulator and like any car simulator nowdays. In those times when i was here, there were occations when people was asking very same thing in dm's and they wanted to be forced on the rostroom.
Well, it was really easy for me as i was serious rc racer 6-7 years and so, rostroom view was only thing to do.
Like said, its a SIM, RC SIM...in what point have people runned behind irl rc car when driving, just asking. OK, in Finland we have had some rally stage rc-competitions. Stages were changed and guys runned behind the car. Of course there was possibility to drive also from rostroom.
But i see Pieters decision really good, maybe it affect negatively for amount of drivers and future will tell.
And remember, this is my opinion and my opinion. We all are allowed opinions and being respectful each other, is wanted.
It doesnt help anybody to be mean, it just poisons the community.
I wont be answering or explaining my opinions why i think that a rostroom is the thing to go. Its ny opinion, my opinion only.
If you want "fight buddy", im not that one. Being respectful doesnt cost you anything.

Stephen and Billy, can we pls. stop this and behave like adult racers? It is poisening the atmosphere. We aren't with many, and every racer counts.
You say every racer counts yet your happy to restrict player to a view they can’t use & there for cause them not to run ( your logic makes no sense ) there are multiple races atm the prove chase is not faster in any way !

My point is follow view is still a problem. In my opinion the number 1 ranked drivers have become number 1 including myself from points earned driving in follow view and this is not sim like for that reason.
In my opinion I should not have time trial records better than the very best real drivers in the world, drivers that get paid and make a living driving rc cars since I am able to use follow view to do so is not sim worthy.
In my opinion follow view has ruined the integrity of vrc. You can say I cheated too using follow view but the difference is I can go the same speed in rostrum 99% of the time, this is for the racers that are not saying how they really feel about follow view, they contact me, look in my email account.

All my times, even those that other drivers have found very difficult to beat, have been from the podium, with a small screen and a normal PC.
And for me it has not been impossible to be fast on any track.

Great decision Pieter! I also (in my naivety) thought that all official competitions in VRC already had this rule but now that I know I completely agree with you that it is the right way to go... We do this because we like to drive RC cars and there are plenty of other games for those who like to race "real" cars. Will this rule also apply to the upcoming championship? I hope so!
