T-REX BACK WITH A VENGANCE….
After an absence of a few years Pongtorn ‘T-Rex’ Trayrananon, the 38 year old and former VRC World champion Thai has clinched the 2012 VRC Worlds title in 1:8 nitro Sportscars. In the 1 hour main final at the fast and flowing Clermont Ferrand track in France, T-Rex reigned as in his old days. Even hot favorite and Race2theWorlds winner Kevin Pignotti could not resist the immensely high pace of the Thai. Check out the very interesting lap time comparison chart: T-Rex vs. Kevin
Take a look at the lap time consistency of T-Rex, average lap time 14.806 with a fastest lap of 14.572. Impressive! A true World Champion!
Interestingly T-Rex opted for 2 tire changes, one in lap 65, and a second one in lap 151, where Kevin changed tires only once in lap 119 exactly half way his race. T-Rex was able to maintain 14.7-14.8 pace throughout the race where Kevin was dropping to low 15 seconds towards his tire change. On average T-Rex pace was 0.1 sec. faster than Kevin’s pace and this allowed him the extra pit stop. As T-Rex did his final run some 4 hours after Kevin he may have studied Kevin’s lap times and may have come up with this alternative strategy….
Boonmee Appamada (also from Thailand) completed the podium of the 2012 VRC Worlds just 7 seconds behind Pignotti, using a 1 tire change stop strategy like Kevin, in fact they both changed tires in lap 119 when there was only 0.01 seconds between the 2 of them, dead even! A close race until the end with Kevin just 0.1 second per lap faster on the fresh tires.
Kevin vs. Boonmee
Martin Wollanka from Austria finished a very close 4th, just 2 seconds down on Boonmee. Italian veterans Giorgio Mingotti and Antonello Parisi fought it out for 5th and 6th with just 1 second separating them after 1 hour of hard racing! Giorgio vs. Antonello
This was also a 1 tire stop strategy against a 2 tire stops, 3 more laps and Antonello would have caught him…

Very cool! What are all the "racing violations?" Are those incidents? crashes? anytime "press spacebar" comes up?
I have check my replay in lap has X (racing violations) and found it is a clean lap.
I don't know why it has X maybe program too sensitive with some car setup.
Or may be car's bottom bump the ground in some place.
Look at Mika 's result there also many X too.

So i think there is not thing to warry about it.
