Ronald Völker left for Denmark to race in the annual DHI Cup the morning after he raced to the VRC Pro Masters title, took the first round in qualifying, dropped back a bit to finish split second at the end of qualifying, ruined the first leg in the finals with a 4th place, but to strike back with 2 wins in leg 2 and 3 to take the DHI title, setting a new lap record in the second leg.

Some racers fear that racing VRC Pro is not good for your real racing because the car drives just that little bit different than your own car. Ronald proves otherwise. For sure the car in VRC Pro will feel a little different than your own car but with setup you can bring it towards you. But the more important thing is that 'practice makes perfect', and Ronald drove 4223 laps on the Eppelheim track, 3320 laps at the Pegaso track with 1:10 nitro and 4764 laps on the VRC Carpet 2 track, mainly with the 1:10 Spec ch... read more

Ronald Völker has had some very successful weeks at VRC. First Winning the 2011 VRC Pro 1:10 ISTC World Title, a 2nd place at the 1:10 Nitro Worlds behind Frank Hattich, a first place in the 1:10 Nitro Masters, and now victorious in the 1:10 ISTC Masters at Eppelheim.
Ronald dominated the Masters as expected, winning all 3 of the Main Final legs. He fell just over a second short of his winning time at the Worlds, and scored superb 23 lappers in all 4 races. Mustafa Alp from Turkey backed up his splendid performance at the Worlds (4th) with a strong second, convincingly taking 2nd spot in all 3 legs. 3RD place went to Tobias Brunke who successfully defended in the last leg with against Knott. 1:8 World Champ Kevin Pignotti did not make it to the final 6 due to internet latency issues. Nicola Maronne from Italy who had qualified had a computer crash just before the start of the final and was not able to participate. RC Sim racing is not completely trouble free afterall...

Yokomo-LRP ace Ronald Völker has added a second VRC Pro World Championship title to his impressive racing legacy. After already winning in 2008 he was now victorious in the 2011 VRC Pro worlds held at the Eppelheim track, the very same track where the LRP Touring Car Masters will be held end of March. In the final the Ronald was challenged by Martin Wollanka from Austria who managed to stay within 3 tenths of Ronald but a crash in lap 11 put him 2 seconds back and although he was able to make 2 tenth up in the next 5 laps Ronald 'Mr. Consistent' Völker cruised home with a 3.5 second gap at the finish line on Wollanka.
1:8 World Champion Kevin Pignotti from Italy finished 3rd to complete the podium just 7 thousands in front of Mustafa Alp from Turkey. Quite an amazing performance of the Turk who came from nowhere and almost made it to the podium.
