Virtual Racing Industries proudly presents: SILVER DOLLAR R/C RACEWAY
This must be one of the most anticipated track releases to date. The virtual copy of the track was created in close collaboration with A-Main Hobbies from Chico, California. The 315 m long off-road track with its 2012 lay-out is used for both short course and nitro buggy racing, and will be hosting, with a different lay-out, the 2013 IFMAR Worlds for 1:10 2WD and 4WD electric buggies. This lay-out will be made available later this year when the track will be re-modeled for the IFMAR Worlds.
Being one of the largest hobby retailers in the country, A-Main Hobbies also discovered the benefits of being closely involved with VRC Pro, not only as a reseller, but also to have their Silver Dollar R/C Raceway track in the VRC Pro collection.
Situated on the famous Silver Dollar Fairgrounds, A Main Hobbies’ Silver Dollar R/C Raceway was built to be the ultimate outdoor off-road R/C racing venue. Each part of the facility was designed with b... read more

revised January 25th 2013
Following the success of the Super Final concept we are now introducing our new A-B-C final system. The system is very similar to what is being used in electric racing. After qualifying in heats you are placed in your own A-B-C or whatever Main final. In this final you race from a start position on the track that corresponds with your initial position in your final, for example, if you qualify 26th, you will be in the C-final, with start number 6 and will start from grid-start position 6 in all the finals.
This is particularly interesting in combination with the replay feature. When you view the replay of your own final all cars will start from positions 1-10. Of course having start position 10 in a final is a little disadvantage, just like in real r/c racing. But being number 10 in the A-final is still better than being number 1 in the B-final, right?
From Season 1 Round 3 the events will be ranked using the results scored in your own final, so when you finish the Eliminati... read more

Because members reported not to be too happy with the very busy Season 1 racing schedule, one race every week in each of the classes, we have decided to go back to 1 race in each of the classes every 2 weeks. This will give a bit of breathing space between races and also opens up the possibility to race in several classes. The Season Series are now all 6 events with 4 counting for the Series championship.
We have also added an official series for 1:10 electric Spec class. The first season will only be 5 races with 3 counting. All Spec events will be on the same dates and same tracks as modified class.
We hope this adjustment to the schedule will land well in our racing community. Enjoy the season!

Multiple 1:10 ISTC champion Ronald Völker (Germany) has won the 2012 VRC Worlds 1:10 ISTC at the 2008 Worlds Bangkok track (long 1:10 course). This was Ronald Volker’s second consecutive victory after winning the VRC Worlds on the Eppelheim LRP Masters indoor track in December 2011.
Ronald had to drive hard to keep Nicola Marrone and Kevin Pignotti (both from Italy) of his tail. Ronald was fastest the first half of the race, but in the second half Nicola was able to reduce the 1.63 second lead of Ronald to just 0.7 seconds on the finish line. Race2theWorlds winner Kevin Pignotti was 0.73 seconds up on Nicola half way but an error in the 17th lap cost him 2nd place finishing 0.53 seconds behind Nicola on third spot.
Elliott Harper from the UK finished just outside the podium 3 seconds down on Kevin in 4th postion. Having been away fro VRC Pro for over a year Elliott was surprised about the quality of racing: “Many fast racers now ... read more
