The ranking calculations have been updated.
For the established classes the ranking is now calculated based on 12 of your 16 last results (was 8 of 12 before).
The overall electric and nitro on- and off-road rankings have been adjusted to 18 of 24 (was 12 of 16) and the Overall onroad and overall onroad is now 24 of 32.
The Overall Combined ranking is 30 of 40 best results.
2 New rankings have been added, for the 1:8 RallyX Spec Weekly and for the 1:8 nitro buggy Weekly, both start with 8 of 12 results. When enough results are in these 2 rankings will be adjusted to 12 of 16 as well.
Obviously adjusting the rankings can change the current rankings slightly.

The Nascar trucks series will be raced over 12 rounds, your best 8 results count for the Series championships
Each event will have 4 rounds of 1 week, echa round starts on Saturday and finishes on Friday
The events are scheduled with 4 weeks intervals
The Nascar truck series are a mix of oval and on-road courses.

2018 Season 1 will be raced over 8 rounds of which your best 6 results will be counted for the Series championship
All events will have a qualifying round and a Finals round, and will be raced in 3 classes, Club, Sport and Pro
The events are scheduled with 3 weeks intervals
Qualifying will be Saturday till Wednesday - finals will be Wednesday till Sunday
Modified classes will be raced with forced rostrum view - spec classes will be raced with free choice of view
Per class 1 event of the series will be designated as the official World Championship (**WC**) for that class
World Championship events will be rewarded with extra points for the Series and for the rankings

THE VRC TEAM WISHES YOU ALL THE BEST FOR 2018 AND OF COURSE A GREAT VRC SEASON
The 2017 VRC Worlds is over, 2018 Season 1 is about to start.
We have more and more classes and as a result of that we have seen a significant drop in participation in the Series events, and especially in the participation in the Main finals. Our assumption is that the event schedule is probably too crowded.
SERIES
We are therefore considering a major change in the event calendar. The basic idea is to split up the series in similar categories and spread them over 2 seasons.
For example:
Season 1: 1:8 nitro buggies Mod and 1:8 electric buggies Spec
Season 2: 1:8 nitro buggies Spec and 1:8 electric buggies Mod
We can do the same with Short Course Trucks and RallyX, 1:10 electric ISTC and 1:12 electric Sportscars, and between 1:8 nitro Sportscars, nitro GT3 and 1:10 nitro sedans.
