VRC Pro is an r/c racing sim, meaning we simulate racing r/c cars. R/C cars are raced from a rostrum 2-3m above the track level to have a good overview of the track. All VRC tracks the have the rostrum positioned and at a height corresponding with the real track. Our own designed tracks, which are not based on real tracks, have similar rostrum positions and view points.
Following long and intense discussions in the VRC forums, and using common sense, I have decided to use only rostrum view for official VRC events, starting 2025 Season 1 series.
Weekly events and club events will continue to have free choice of view point.
The popular 'Time trial' mode will remain with free view position for now, as reverting back to forced rostrum view would invalidate all standing track records. It would also require changing the VRC program (executable file) for both VRC and Steam.
I know that this decision will not satisfy everybody but remember, it is only common sense: VIRTUAL RC PRO IS AN R/C RACING SIM

A 'bonus' VRC Worlds has been added to the series of 2024 VRC Worlds events: 1:10 electric Basher at the VRC Bash Pit Long track. This event is a level 5 event but will only count for the 'Overall Off Road' ranking. This should be a fun event, that's what the basher is for! We hope to see a good attendance for this event which will result in a great Worlds video to promote this class of virtual r/c racing fun!

In preparation of the release of the new B-compound rubber tires for 1:10 electric ISTC a set-up sheet developed by one of the beta tester who worked on improving the performance and feel of the new tires. This may give you some good guidance in which direction to develop your set-up in order to optimize the performance and 'feel' of the new B-compound rubber tires.
Post your feedback on these new tires in Comments section below!

3 New Overall rankings have been added:
- OVERALL 2024 VRC WORLDS RANKING (9 Worlds events, on- and off-road combined)
- OVERALL 2024 VRC WORLDS DIRT OVAL RANKING (4 Worlds events)
- OVERALL 2024 VRC WORLDS NASCAR RANKING (3 Worlds events)
These prestigeous individual rankings combine the results achieved during the upcoming 2024 VRC Worlds events, but separated based on race type, regular on- and off-road racing, dirt oval racing and Nascar truck racing. All points achieved in these 2024 Worlds events will be accumulated to determine the best individal overall performance in these specific racing categories.
Adding these new Overall 2024 Worlds rankings will create a new challenge to get high up and maybe even become the very best in any of these 3 racing disciplines!
The 2024 OVERALL rankings can be viewed at https://www.vrcworld.com/rankings/default.aspx
Enjoy the upcoming 2024 VRC Worlds!

We will release new B-compound front and rear rubber tires for the 1:10 ISTC class this Saturday morning, October 12th. The new B-compound tires have been developed to be used as a pair, front and rear. The B-compound tires have improved acceleration and braking performance (longitudinal traction) and more direct steering characteristics while maintaining cornering stability. However, the new B-compound tires require you to work on set-up to achieve the best results in laptimes and 'feel'. Below are some comments by some of the beta testers.
Big thanks to the Beta testers for their relentless efforts to improve the rubber tires. The objective was to bring the tires closer to what is being used in real r/c racing, and with that, a set-up configuartion that which reflects a modern 1:10 ISTC chassis! I strongly feel that with the new B-compound tires we have accomplished these goals.
Some set-up comments of the Beta testers regarding the new B-compound tires:
"The main thing you want to do with the n... read more

The 2024 VRC Worlds modified classes are just over a month away and will kick off on Wednesday November 13. The 2024 World will be finished on the 21st, well before the Xmas holidays!
Attached the time schedule for the upcoming 2024 VRC Worlds for all modified classes. All VRC Worlds events are published on the VRC portal. The track locations are to be announced later. We have used the 'Practice Ground' for all Worlds events for now in order to be able to publish them. The track allocations will be published 2nd half of October.
The 'Bump-up' final format will be used, like in 2023. Do note that the heat, semi-final and main final durations have been shortened to make the 2024 VRC Worlds more attractive to participate in.
We are planning to release some new on-road tracks shortly before the 2024 Worlds take off and we are considering to use 1 or 2 new tracks for the upcoming VRC Worlds!
We also plan to release new compound rubber tires for 1:10 ISTC Touringcars and 1:10 electric NASCAR trucks. The... read more
