2016 IFMAR World Champion David Ronnefalk from Sweden has claimed his first VRC World Championship title by winning the 15 minute long A-Main open final 1:8 electric buggies at the RC Tracks of Las Vegas off-road track, the very same track Ronnefalk won his IFMAR Worlds title 3 months before.
2014 VRC World Champion Marcin Maliński from Poland took second 2nd some 9 seconds back on Ronnefalk, and pole-sitter Warren Jones from the US snatched away 3rd from Swede Robert Hillman in the very last corner.
For David Ronnefalk it was a 'take off and never look back' final without too many trouble. Warren Jones had the speed but got himself in trouble just too often, clearly lacking the consistency that David demonstrated with his commanding lead. Just 3 laps before the end Jones was back in 5th but managed to clinch 3rd place right on the finish line.
A-MAIN FINAL

VRC PRO WORLDCHAMPION 2016 1:8 NITRONASCARTRUCK SAO PAOLO OVAL
WORLDCHAMPION title of 1:8 nitronascartruck was solved at SAO PAOLO OVAL.
Nothing miracles happend as we witnessed after starting rounds that Britains multiple WC finalist Graham Raistrick had secured the pole for the Final. American, ovals supertalent Jimmy Flack was big favorite to take that pole, but he had to settle to second grid, 1.1 seconds behind Raistrick.
Switzerlands Pierre Dumusc drove very good semifinal and got third grid, 4.3 seconds behind Flack. Behind Dumusc, going to fourth grid was Vesa Inkeri from Finland. Vesa was 2.8 seconds slower than Dumusc. In fifth grid, was Philippe Gross, he had over 6 seconds to Inkeri at fourth place.

VRC PRO WORLDCHAMPION 2016 of 1:10 Nitrosedan spec class Melzo
Nitro sedan spec WORDLTITLE was solved at MELZO circuit in Italy. Allready from qualifying round it was pretty clear, who was man to chase in here. American Joshua Berman was looking very convincing from his first runs. Those under 21s laps were in target, and Joshua did this in perfect style. At semifinal round Berman gave a knock-out to others, hitting absolutely fantastic run and nobody couldnt answer that. Graham Raistrick was standing in second place heading for A-main, but even he didnt know how to gain Berman. Huhtala was in third and Saputra in fourth place.

VRC PRO WORLDCHAMPION of 1:12 spec class CARPET JPH
From semifinal it was allready obvious that American Dana Bailes was the man to beat, as he wonned that round with 2 seconds margin to Viljami Kutvonen from Finland.
Unfortunatelly Kutvonen were not at the grid when FINAL was arranged. But there was blenty other gladiators to challenge Dana of the title. Multible WC finalist Graham Raistrick was in third grid, and other Brit, Reece Hodges at fourth grid. Raistrick result in semifinal was over 4 seconds slower than Dana`s, but this Britains laprobot had not showed everything yet.
So, it was looking Bailes and Raistrick fight, if others wouldnt find anything for the FINAL.

SEASON 2016 electric nascartruck modified, round 12, Keitune Oval
TIMED PRACTICE
Season last race and closer of electric nascartruck series was helded here at Keitune Oval. Everybody was pointing to American Jimmy Flack, when some expectations were asked of race winner. OK, it was obvious that Jimmy was man to watch out in here, so fantastic his results are also from ovals. But in timed practice, Italian talent Andrea Giordano showed magnificent pace and left Flack to second position, with five seconds margin. As allways, it was so early stage of the event and nothing had solved yet. Everybody was looking those settings and getting miliar with the track. Third fastest in this not mandatory, starting round, was Austrian Alexander Dunkl. He was in good speed, as his gap to Flack was only 3.8 seconds.
QUALIFYING
In this round Giordano and Flack were missing, and didnt make the result. By this, Dunkl took his own and carry on his... read more
