Francis Wathlet (B) was ‘king of the hill’ in deze klasse, met 2 duidelijke overwinningen op zijn Belgische compaan Nicolas Evens (organisator van de Belgium Short Course Cup). Arjan van de Graaf was met 2 tweede plaatsen nog in de race voor de 2de plaats in het eindklassement, maar in Race 3 op de Bash Pit Long Course kwam hij uiteindelijk een half rondje te kort op Nicolas Evens om uiteindelijk als 3de te eindigen.

In deze klasse werden de top-3 posities door dezelfde 3 rijders en in dezelfde posities als in de Toerwagen klasse bezet. Fred van Bemmel (NL) toonde aan ook in short course goed uit de voeten te kunnen en behaalde opnieuw 3 onbedreigde overwinningen. Patrick van Es (NL) and Marc van Dyck eindigden allebei met 154 punten op een gedeelde 2de plaats.

PRO klasse
Deze klasse werd overtuigend gewonnen door Julius Kolff met 3 overwinningen uit 3. Na de eerste wedstrijd met slechts 0.5 sec te hebben gewonnen was Race 2 op Carpet-2 opnieuw een strijd tussen Kolff en Wathlet, die weer in het voordeel van Julius, maar nu met 1 sec. voorsprong werd beslist.
De 3de en laatste wedstrijd van de Cup was op het thuiscircuit van Julius, en hier was de marge opgelopen tot 8 sec. Francis Wathlet legde beslag op de 2de plaats in de Cup, Arjan van de Graaf wist in de laatste wedstrijd Nicolas Evens (B) met 0.9 sec. te verslaan en werd daardoor 3de in het eindklassement, 2 punten voor Nicolas Evens (B).

Austrian Martin Wollanka has finally won a VRC World Championship. On the testing Orlando Snowbirds track he outclassed a field of 76 Pro racers (total 264 participants) with a stunning 50 laps in 8 minutes flat. In his WC title run he recorded just 2 encounters with the unforgiving boarding which is remarkable given the cornering speed these tiny cars produce. With this victory Wollanka has once more demonstrated his incredible r/c racing talent in all classes of r/c. Hungarian Barnabas Toth had to settle for second after closing the cap to just 1.3 seconds in lap 25 but a hard crash in lap 42 ended his quest for the 2013 title. Dana Bailes from the US who had dominated the 2013 season in 1:12 racing had an early crash in lap 5 and fought an uphill battle all race long. It has been a long wait but they are here: 1:8 scale nitro buggies. It has taken our development team over a year to come up with a nitro buggy that is as close to the real thing as can be. With the help of world class buggy racers David Ronnefalk, David Joor and Ricardo Rabitti plus our valued beta testing team, our physics specialist Todd “Doc” Wasson has been able to develop the buggy from scratch to a responsive and realistic behaving nitro buggy.
To support the animated suspension and steering, new technology had to be developed to render all these parts in real time without killing the frame rate. Tony West has come up with a photo-realistic modeled chassis, the NX-8, and a host of generic and branded components from Proline, BittyDesign, Avid and AKA. More chassis and components will follow in the future upon request of manufacturers.

We have just released the 2013 IFMAR Worlds version of the Silver Dollar track in Chico California. This track is used for the 2013 VRC Worlds Short Course Trucks as well, so start practicing now.
The track is free for all to join this event. We want to see massive participation in this Worlds, with the track, the Associated full option truck, Tekin Pro-4 motors and RX8 speedo for free dureing the period of this event it's an absolutely free ride for all.
Mike Garrison of Live RC will do race commentary on the A-Main final, something to look forward to I promise you!

2013 VRC world Championships 1:10 200mm nitro at Messina - Italy

2012 Race2theWorlds winner, 2011 and 2012 VRC World champion and 2013 Italian 1:10 ISTC champion, official Team Associated driver Kevin Pignotti from Italy has added yet another major title to his young r/c racing career. In convincing style he drove to a 1 lap lead victory over UK’s Graham Raistrick and a 2 lap lead over Barnabas Toht from Hungary. The young Italian had to drive hard this time, after 6 minutes into the race there was just 2 seconds separating the first 3 cars! Only in the last 5 minutes Kevin was able to catch Graham to finally put a lap on him. Toth was the only one of the top-3 runners to change tires midway which in the end probably cost him 2nd spot as both Pignotti and Raistrick were able to maintain low lap times until the end.
In Pro Nations ranking Germany took first spot with a strong 4th place finish of Lehmann and 5 cars in the top-23. Austria took 2nd spot with Ingo Graf making the A-Main to ... read more

Today we will perform scheduled maintenance on our servers to prepare for a major update. This is NOT the release of the new 1:8 nitro buggy, that update is scheduled for Wednesday Dec. 18th.
Durining this maintenance period we will update the media structure of VRC Pro. This new structure will cut the total size of VRC Pro to almost half, from 1.8 GB to just under 1 GB at present. With the new media structure the regular updates that may take place when you start VRC Pro will become much smaller and thus quicker. The new media structure also enhances the graphics performance especially on computers using lower end graphics cards.
During this update we will also release a number of new products, like a whole range of Reedy motors and an upgrade of the Tekin Redline motors and RS speedcontrollers to their new Gen 2 version. These new versions replace the older versions so if you are using Tekin products in VRC Pro you will find the new Gen 2 products automatically in your car at next use!
