One sim racer will get the chance of a lifetime, a chance to race at the real 2012 IFMAR World Championships.
Virtual Racing Industries in collaboration with IFMAR, proudly presents to you ‘Race 2 the Worlds’, the ground-breaking competition which will give one VRC Pro sim racer the unique opportunity to race at the real 2012 IFMAR World Championships, The Netherlands, July 26-28th, all expenses paid, all materials and support provided.
Race2theWorlds challenges r/c racers across the world to compete in one long, on-going online event with practically unlimited qualification tries. Anyone can join the event at any time.
Schedule:
Qualifying starts on March 1st 2012 and ends on June 16th. The top-200 proceeds to the Semi Final and the best 100 proceed to the Main Final to battle it out for victory. So get your controller out, start practicing and win your all-inclusive racing trip to the Netherlands in July!

*Contestants with prior international IFMAR competition experience are disqualified from the R2tW event.

Just had a look at the 'live' steam from the Heemsted track

This is great, we can watch the IFMAR event online (if we don't overload the webcam)...can they put up more cameras on different feed I wonder.
Also noticed that there is NO chicane on the back straight, are they going to build one?

Hi,
I really like the idea of a multiplayer final. I raced the WM Modified an Stock multiplayer finals. It was great fun. And best thing is, anything can happen in that multi finals. The front guys could make errors and then its face to face...like it is in real. One thing is for sure you must be even more focused in a multiplayer race than in single player mode!

it´s ok multipayer and maket fun butt we have a lot of time for the qulifing and for the final we must have time on one weekend!

Curious - would the winners HAVE to use the provided equipment? Are they provided by sponsors? I ask because I am very comfortable with my radio, and I use my radio with VRC....if I was required to use a different radio for the real-world event, it would take a while to get used to the equipment, while the other racers (Other non-Race2theWorlds racers) would be using their own equipment which they are intimately familiar with.
