This is an old news before Free 2 Play model was introduced. We no longer offer this kind of subscription - in F2P you do not need subscription to play.

I have a month to month full membership but its too expensive. I will stay if I can buy a lite membership but I cant find that option in the eshop. Is it not possible for me to buy a lite membership? If so I will buy it, if not I will have to say goodbye....
Any Ideas of how to buy the lite membership?
Thanks

Firstly, I am uncertain if it is possible for a full member to create race session to race with a Lite member, especial for when using tracks that is not accessible by lite members.
Secondly, the R2tW lite membership application steps seems hard to find from the normal subscription product's page.
In principle, Lite members, Trial members and Full members can all race together, but they need to have the same tracks and the same cars. Lite members can obtain new tracks and new cars by purchasing vEuros in the e-shop and spending them in the game or on the web on new content.
Secondly, the R2tW lite membership application is easy. You simply follow the normal registration procedure after selecting the Lite license subscription. If you already have a trial license, then you can purchase the R2tW lite license from the e-shop.
I hope this clarifies

I would love to ask my son to join the R2tW LITE, so hopefully I can create a session to race with him anytime. However, todate, I am uncertain if it is possible for a full member to create race session to race with a Lite member, especial for when using tracks that is not accessible by lite members. And if I cannot, it would be too boring for me to race in a simple/standard track with my son. VRCPro support seems unclear on the answer. So I will only join until after a confirmation is found.
Secondly, the R2tW lite membership application steps seems hard to find from the normal subscription product's page. It seem it is only available from the news page. Slightly confusing for when people try to apply. Hopefully the procedure/steps for Lite membership application is made simpler.

I like the lite membership. The full membership is a bit too expensive for me, but the lite option allowed me to get involved. I was a bit disappointed at first as I thought only spec chassis was available but then noticed the lipo intercept chassis which allows suspension changes etc and a 5.5 motor.
+1

I hope after the r2tw event finishes that something else occurs, I wouldn't mind loosing the heemstede track for another events track, as I find the multiplayer very sporadic.
Well done for making this lite membership available and making the simulation more accessible to everyone.

Not being able to earn v euros is lame, got led down the garden path with that one. It's a real shame VRC has gone down the money grabbing path rather than building loyalty.
Hard times for everyone I guess
We need to balance the Lite license out against the full membership, I'm sure you understand.
The Lite license is a very low priced year subscription introduced specially for occasional users who want some fun out of the basic set of cars and tracks and who actually don't need to pay anything extra. Lite members only pay extra for extra individual items they want to use (instead of paying monthly).
With these kind of efforts we are trying to make VRC Pro interesting and affordable for as many people as possible, but in the end VRC Pro is a high-end simulator, not a game. As such it should be valued and appreciated. Bottom line, if you think VRC Pro is too expensive then don't buy it.
We are convinced it's worth well over what we actually ask for it.

so have i read this correct if we are a full member and have say a few different chassis non spec and ugraded motors these will be lost if you go for a lite member ship ?
Not if those were purchased with real money instead of earned vEuros.
Earned vEuros would be a big threat to our business model, I'm sure you'll understand that every full member will stop renewing their full membership if we don't balance the Lite license out correctly...
