We have published the racing calendar for Season 2 which starts on July 11.
2015 SEASON 2 SERIES
Between the end of Season 1 and the start of Season 2 there will be 1 week pause to allow for the skill level adjustments based on Season 1 race results. Racers can then set their new racer class before the start of the new season. You can always opt for a higher racer class than what your skill level indicates, i.e. when your skill rating indicates Club you may opt to race in Sport or even Pro if you feel confident and comfortable with that.
SKILL LEVEL SYSTEM REVISED
We have revised the skill level system to make it more transparent and fair. Currently it is based on your relative performance measured against other racers who have the same skill level. Today we will release a major structural update, this will include updated software and content. The release of the new Silver Dollar 2015 Nats track had to wait for this update and will be included.
With the new update we have added support for 2WD and 4WD cars (this was missing in the basic structure) allowing us to have 4WD and 2WD short course trucks or buggies for example. We are working on a 2WD short course truck at the moment and are aiming to have it available for the new season starting in July. No promisses yet. 2WD and 4WD electric buggies are not yet planned.
Another significant feature of this update is a new class definition for tracks. We are now able to set class restrictions per track, for example nitro buggies or short course tucks can also run on on-road tracks, but on-road cars can't run on off-road or rally tracks. Yes, rally is another new class we are working on and which required us to have these new restrictions. So after this update you can run your buggy or sc truck on almost... read more
