This CRC series is created to offer new comers in VRC and in real r/c racing, an entry-level r/c racing experience with an easy to handle car with the focus on just driving instead of set-up and racing skills. There are hardly any set-up options to work with, and with the restricted horsepower and rev limiter the cars will all have exactly the same top speed of around 90 km/h. This will provide for a relaxed first racing experience and paving a path towards the more intense on-road racing classes!
The CRC events start on Thursday July 17th 0.9:30 CET with 3 days of Qualifying, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, and the Main Finals Sunday and Monday. As this is an entry level class the view position will be free but you are encouraged to use the 'rostrum view' if it is your ambition to start racing real r/c cars one day!

A new addition to the Welkom Arena collection: Welkom Arena 7. This 276m long indoor asphalt track is suitable for 1:10 nitro and electric and even for 1:8 nitro on-road! As the Welkom Arena is an indoor facility, traction will be high, no rain to wash off the grip! The South African city of Welkom is located at an altitude of 1340m so keep in mind that this means less aero drag but also less downforce. Engine power will be less of course due to the lower atmospheric pressure.
Members with an All-Inclusive subscription will find the new track to be added automatically to their tracks collection.
For others, the track can be purchased with vEuro's in the e-Shop.
The Welkom Arena 7 track has been added to the Steam dlc 'VRC PRO Welkom Arena Lay-outs WA 3-4-5-6-7 track pack (5)'. If you already purchased this dlc the track will be automatically added to your Steam track selection.

The good news is that the 1:8 nitro GT3 class (also Spec) is available again in VRC Pro. The bad news is that the setups of these cars you saved in the past for your GT3 cars and 1:8 NASCAR trucks, are no longer working. This is due to a complex restructuring process of components and default set-ups to enable the introduction of the new GT3 Club Racer class. Keep in mind that I am doing this all by myself with a good but not 'full in depth' knowledge of all the component and set-up structures, let alone all the complex underlaying structures like series and events, replays, rankings, track records etc.
I will try to explain...
It starts with car class definitions, in which we define what scale, what surface on- or off-road, rally, mixed, nitro or electric, what body style, and transmission 4WD or 2WD, and last but not least modified or stock (=spec). Releasing the new 1:8 2-WD nitro GT3 Club Racer
MAKING IT AS EASY AS POSSIBLE
The objective of this new class is similar to the 1:10 ITSC 17.5T class: to offer an easy to drive 1:8 nitro car which limited horsepower and almost no set-up options. So it's all about driving precision, not about set-up knowledge and ultimate driving skills. The 1:8 nitro chassis is configured as 2-WD and with the restricted horsepower and 'rev limiter' the top-speed is limited to around 90km/h, and will be exactly the same for all racers! You will soon find out that this will provide for a totally different type of nitro on-road racing, especially in multi-player mode or to watch in Event replay mode! This new class will provide the perfect stepping stone for newcomers to the faster classes in nitro on-road racing.
