2017 SEASON 2 1:8 NITRO BUGGIES SPEC ROUND 3 IBR Padova
PRO level
Silver Dollar 2 hosted the 4th round race of 1:8 electric buggy spec serie. This track is mentioned as a track what has great flow but its enough technical to separate men from boys.
But we had top drivers joined to this event and these talents would handle this perfectly.
At qualifying round Canadian Andrew Bucar setted the pace with 31.065 average. Andrea Giordano was close, only 1 second away from Bucar`s pace. Behind Giordano, Ely Rojas was third and Tommaso Andreuccetti fourth fastest. Rojas was 9 seconds and Andreuccetti 9.5 seconds behind TQ driver Next places were Anger, Kirkholm, Yeung and Hillman on eight position.

2017 SEASON 2 1:8 NITRO NASCAR TRUCKS ROUND 9 Kakegawa Tamiya
It was 9th round of 1:8 nitro nascar truck serie. Multiple Worlchampions and WC A-finalists were joined also to this event, so we waited great race.
Andrea Giordano started furiosly, he was fastest at qualifying and left another Worldchampion Joshua Berman to second place, with 10 seconds margin. Andreuccetti had third fastest pace, and was only one second away from Berman`s pace. Well, this was just beginning and everybody was getting miliar with the track and was searching the setup.
In quarter finals, things started to get serious, as the two Worldchampions, Giordano and Berman setted the pace, with 16.3 average. Britains talent Raistrick was now third, five second behind top2.
Spaniard Alejandro Prieto was also in good pace, he was at fourth spot, 5 seconds behind Raistrick.

Tight Battle for Podium at VRC 1 in 1.12 Spec
PRO LEVEL
“Dominator” Dana Bailes (US) took the victory at the recent 1.12 Spec event at VRC 1. Bailes was the only racer to complete 40 laps in the 8-minute final, finishing with 40 laps in 8:09.956. Bailes is currently the reigning 1.12 Spec VRC World Champion and has always been a dominate force in 1.12 Spec. This recent win makes it 5-in a row for 1.12 finals where Bailes has posted a final run.
Dana Bailes Dominated the Pro A-main
However, the real story with this event was the battle for the final two podium positions. It was an extremely tight battle between three racers; “The Great” Graham Raistrick (UK), Kevin Bacon (US) and the 2016 1.10 Nitro World Champion, Andrea Giordano (IT). Raistrick qualified second and took the lead early. Bacon and Giordano followed close behind. Bacon slowly began to real in Raistrick and overtook him on by lap 11. ... read more

2017 SEASON 2 1:10 NITRO SEDANS SPEC ROUND 3 Atsugi 2
PRO level
Atsugi 2 was hosting third round race of 1:10 nitro sedan spec serie. In gualifying Graham Raistrick was setting the pace to others. Hitting that great result, with average 13.6, he was only one who managed to get on 23rd lap. Second place was driven by Alejandro Prieto, but he was way back from ”Racetricks” pace, over 10 seconds with average 14.0. Portuguese Nuno Lourenco was third, 1.2 second behind Prieto. Manuel Weber was fourth and Izidor Tratnik fifth.
Serie leader Massimiliano Tanturri was sixth fastest, and he needed to find something to his pace, if he wanted to hold his lead at overall points.
As the horn shouted for the main, three drivers were separated from the rest of the pack. Raistrick, Lourenco and Tanturri were those three, who had very similar start. Even Raistrick had won the quali... read more

SNEAK PREVIEW OF FUTURE PROJECTS
GT3 CLASS
We are currenly working on a 1:8 scale nitro GT3 class based on the 1:8 nitro on-road chassis. The GT3 car uses front and rear differentials and rubber tires to create a different driving experience at about 90% of the performance level of the 1:8 nitro sportscar class. This new class should be easy and fun to drive and therefore will have very limited setup options. We expect to see some very exciting racing in this new class. Release is planned for the 2017 VRC Worlds.
BUMP-UP FINALS
We are working an an alternative race format with bump-up semi finals. In short, after qualifying the top 1...4 will proceed directly to the main final, others will be split up in 2..6 semi finals from which the winners or first 2 will proceed to the main final. We are designing the new format in such a way that we are flexible in the number of direct main finalists and number of semi finals. We expect that this new 'bump-up' format will inject new enthusiasm into our on... read more

2017 SEASON 2 1:10 SC TRUCKS 13.5 ROUND 4 Neo-10
PRO level
Qualifying round was totally American Tom Rinderknecht`s. He took the TQ place by 16 seconds margin ahead of Italian Andrea Giordano. Also Giordano had stable place in second, as Carson Yeung who was third fastest, was 4 seconds away of his pace. Prieto from Spain, was standing at fourth place, 1.5 seconds behind Yeung.
Rinderknecht continued his great pace also at the race, but wasnt so fast as in qualifying. Compared to qualifying average, his pace dropped over two 10th`s at the race and it wasnt so overwhelming. Those low 31 second laps were enough and he won the race with 3.4 margin before French Gaetan Anger. Great job from Tom!
Anger in second place, had nice race and had done his homework with this track. He was pushing really good laptimes, average was 31.850 and this wa... read more

2017 SEASON 2 RALLYX SPEC ROUND 3 X2
PRO level
Third round race was held at X2 track. American Ely Rojas setted the pace to others in qualifying. His average 23.4 was over four 10th`s faster than Yeung`s pace, who was second fastest at qualifying. Huhtala was standing at third spot, over four 10th`s away from TQ pace. Izidor Tratnik was fourth and Arturas Svoba fifth fastest.
In the final, we saw a great fight between the American Ely Rojas and Finnish JP Huhtala. Rojas and Huhtala took the fastest start, Yeung started from the second grid, but he was having difficulties with the rhythm. His first lap was bad, almost a 27s round and this drop his position. Rojas was not at his own level in his run, his lap times already told that this was Huhtala's chance. And the race was really tight between these two, until the last laps. The Rojas dro... read more

News flash from Team Tekin / Neobuggy.com
------------------
This past weekend was held the 2017 Chinese National Championship at FS Off-road race track in Yongkang, China. Over 200 entries total would provide plenty of competition for everyone. A large track with a 60m x 40m race surface and high 40c+ temps would punish the drivers all weekend.
In 1/8 E-Buggy Tekin factory driver Carson Yeung would start off in the triple A main format the P2 position. A1 would be chaos in the first lap dropping him down to last. A steady push would get him back into 3rd in the end of A1. A2 a better start would allow Carson to make a pass on P1 and take the win. A3 would be a rough start again, however once again a steady push would see Carson back to finish in P2 for A3 giving him the the overall win and the 2017 Chinese National Championship.

The VRC community is proud to see its Overall Combined top ranking driver Carson Yeung taking the prestigeous Chinese Championship and we invite the Cham... read more

PRO level
Third round event of 1:8 nitro buggy serie was raced at IBR Padova track. American Tom Rinderknecht was absolutely on his own level when winner was solved. This 15 years old youngster won the qualifying with 6 second margin to South Korean driver Kevin Lee. Behind Lee, was another American, Marshall Kirkholm. He earned third grid for the main, and was almost 8 seconds away from Rinderknecht`s and over one second from Lee`s pace.
As the main started, nobody couldnt answer to Rinderknecht`s pace. After first lap, Tom had pulled over one second gap to second place. And it was very clear, that without any problems, with his furios pace, this was going to be his race. He did fantastic and consistent run, was totally on his own and won this race with 17 second gap. Rinderknecht`s average lap was 33.540.
