STEAM POWERED RACE SERIES 2017 1:10 ELECTRIC TC CARPET 1
PRO
Michitaka Yanagisawa from Japan took the pole with tiny 0.6 seconds margin before French Xavier Deparde. Xavier was not an easy opponent, in 2017 SEASON 1 he won the titles in both classes, modified and spec.
Another Japan driver, Taro Matsuoka was third, he had over 4 seconds gap to Yanagisawa. Hungarian Balint Rezes was fourth and Bill Caley from USA fifth fastest.
As the main started, Yanagisawa took the lead. Him and Deparde were really intence fight, pace was really same and there was no room for mistakes. Yanagisawa led this pack 12 laps when Deparde went to the lead. Now it was time Deparde hold his rhytm and try to stay in first place.
But Yanagisawa`s last remaining four laps were stronger than Deparde`s and by these he managed to overtake Xavier. Yanagisawa crossed the line 0.45 seconds ahead of Deparde.
Taro Matsuoka was pushing really close range behind these two, but finally he had to settle to third place, with tiny one second distance to the winner.
Yanagisawa got some extra heartbeats of this one
SPORT
SPORT level race was dominated by Hong Kong driver Wil Ho. Wil`s average 12.4 was just too much to others and he had no problems to take the win.
From the second and third place, we had a fierce competition with Australian Steve Young and American Manuel Weber. There was no big differences, and finally Steve crossed the line in second place, Weber 0.3 seconds behind him in third place.
Wil Ho, SPORT level winner
CLUB
If Sport level was one man domination, at CLUB level Norwegian Geir Bjarte Terum totally crushed his opponents. He won this race with huge 23 seconds margin. He totally is higher than CLUB level driver and hopefully we will enjoy his results more at higher levels. Remember this driver, Geir Bjarte Terum.
Second place went to Greek Dimitrios Ioannidis and third place to Roger Hardy from Britain.
These two had good fight of second place, finally Hardy had to settle to third place, 0.6 seconds behind Ioannidis.
Geir Bjarte Terum totally crushed his opponents
