07.12.2022   Category: Site news

Thanks to all racers who have participated in the 2 test events for the XTR LT1 track!

Now that the test events are over we have released a new scaled-up version (125%) of XTR LT. This brings the track width to around 4m which is what you would expect.

Pls. continue testing this new version and report your findings in the Comments section below this news item.

Known issue:
- ignore corner cutting warnings for now, we are working on an update of the segments map
- pit table objects are stretched
- start positions normal direction 3-10 require adjustments

We will continue to do updates and inform you in the comments section below.

This track isn't available yet for me in my game, is there any problem or it's only because other drivers are testing it before release it? do you know when it will be available? thank you

The new tracks will also be made available on Steam, new DLC packs for Long tracks, Medium tracks, short tracks and Oval tracks. We will add new tracks to these DLC packs when they come available.

Every change requires a lot of work by Tony West who has done all the VRC graphics since day 1. Because the export tools for Max 3D were developed back in 2010-2012 as part of our own graphics engine, Tony has to work in a max10 to do all the 3D work which complicates things even further. So big thanks to Tony!!!

Of course Pieter, Tony's work is hidden and little appreciated by us.

My sincerest thanks to a huge Tony!!!

The track layout and surface are now perfect. Many thanks.

But I think the barriers need some refining/changes, at the two high-speed corners, when you touch the barrier your car will most likely be sent off the track...

Top-Speed Test:
Race setup: 123.4 km/h
With HS engine, 0mm wing, max. tire size and max. gearing: 128.4 km/h

This version should have improved corner 2 behavior, the 'sudden spin' problem 2/3rds into this corner should be greatly improved as far as I could test. Pls. report your findings here about turn 2.

Yes, the problem has been solved.
