2017 SEASON 1 1:10 SC TRUCKS 13.5T ROUND 2 Mikes Hobby Shop 3
Second round of SC 13.5 serie was driven here at Mikes Hobby Shop 3 track. At semifinal Austrian talent Martin Wollanka was 3 seconds faster than Italian Erik Bottosso. Third and fourth place went to Swedish Robert Hillman and Britains Reece Hodges.
Main final was started without TQ driver Wollanka, so Bottosso, Hillman and Hodges were favourites to take this one. But when final started, in early stage we could noticed that Bottosso was on his own. His pace was good enough to let others behind and with his consistency, he crossed the line 5 seconds before Hillman. Hillman instead, had to do full job to keep Hodges behind.
In early stage Hodges was stronger, but Hillman was stronger in last ten laps and this secured his second place in here. Hodges have to surrender with 0.8 second margin to Hillman.
Fourth place battle was also very intence,... read more

Austrian VRC World Champion and official Team Xray factory driver Martin Wollanka has won the first round of the short course truck season at Mikes 3.
Except for the first 2 laps when he had to settle behind Nicolas Loriot from France who took the wholeshot at the start, Wollanka lead the entire race with a comfortable cusion between him and the hard pressing Loriot, Hofer and Fritschler. Patrick Hofer drove a strong race and looked to be heading for a sure 2nd but a misjudgment on the back straight double cost him even his podium place.

A season for change
This season the short course category has been expanded to include both spec and open class trucks. For most that means twice the races and twice the fun. Change is good and many good things have been added this season. The virtual opponent system, target player and a new racing format are a few of the changes VRC has rolled out with season two.
The open class is just that open to all chassis and motor combinations, while the spec class is limited to 13.5, 3300 or 17.5 motors. The spec chassis is also limited to the bare minimum set-up modifications. The Idea is to level the playing field with fewer settings to worry about so that racers can focus more on driving.
New Season New Format
The new race format for season two was also introduced. In the past there were more rounds and more tries per round. Each race started with timed practice, qualifying, elimi... read more
