Season 1 of the 2016 1/8 Nitro Pro Buggy class kicked off at Silver Dollar and this race would prove to be a struggle for some of the best drivers in the world. From the beginning of the race when Uwe De Zwart had the start that we all dread, the big crash at the start or on lap 1 when Martin Wollanka lost control and went from 1st to 3rd in the blink of an eye. Things seemed as if they were going to be tough for this first race of the season. But when it was all said and done Martin Wollanka proved once again why he is one of the top racers in the world by securing the victory and taking that early season points lead.
Martin Wollanka has always been a top level driver throughout vrc pro racings history and with this win he adds another win to his legacy. With the level of competition in this seasons class we are gonna find out who can stand up and give Martin a challenge, on to round 2!

Fresh VRC World Champ Marcin Maliński (PL) was victorious at the 2014 Season opening race at Silver Dollar. In a close battle with Javan Candy from the UK he came out on top after the 20 minute A-Main final at Silver Dollar. Markku Honkanen from Finland completed the first buggy podium of the year.

World Championship RC Club VRC!
In Southern California USA we are spoiled with great weather 95% of the year, we have an overabundance of indoor and outdoor tracks. With the abundance of tracks comes opportunity for races to challenge the RC driver at any level. While at my local track “Coyote Hobbies” last night I overheard a conversation and promptly butted in and voiced my opinion. The conversation was on the topic of series races. I am all for series races, there is something about combined points over time rather than just a one and done type race that is attractive to me. Dave Batta the owner of the track asked if I would race a big series like JBRL, “Jimmy Babcock Racing League” the JBRL is the most popular racing series in Southern California followed closely by Top Notch Series both offer Electric and Nitro Series. I am willing to bet that most people reading this article and or playing this game don’t know exactly how to utilize all of the features that are built in to make your practice and racing experience more enjoyable. I will explain three key features right now, event replays, club races, and Participating official Season events.
Blast into the past with event replays
When you launch the game execution file you end up in the pits looking at the top of the page there are several options. From left to right the options are:
Practice - Timed Trial - Events - Multiplayer - Replay - Car Setup
I would like to focus on the events options right now and more specifically replays. IMPORTANT! This is the Event Replay Saved on the VRC Server not the replays you save on your computer. When you select events the menu will load, at the top left you have two options, current events or past events.
